The Marketing Assistant at Sidewalk Marketing Co. is responsible for supporting content and design tasks for internal marketing initiatives and client work. This position primarily follows a remote-first approach, with a maximum of 1-2 in-person days per month in the Raleigh-Durham area, if required. The Marketing Assistant reports directly to the Lead Content Strategist and supports the team as a whole.


  • Assist in content ideation, creation, and editing
  • Coordinate the production and implementation of marketing materials
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and generate reports to assess effectiveness and recommendations for improvement
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities to stay informed about industry trends and best practices

Requirements and Skills:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or similar programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An eye for design and composition
  • Superb organizational abilities
  • Strong initiative and resourcefulness
  • Previous marketing, design, or project management experience a plus, but not required

Compensation and Expected Workload:

  • $15 – $18 per hour (based on experience), paid bi-weekly
  • 5-10 hours of work per week, no more than 40 hours per month
  • Available for weekly meeting on Tuesdays at 10am EST
  • Reachable via Slack during 9-5 business hours EST
  • No business communication will be expected before 9am or after 5pm EST
